הַשְׁחָתָהf. (שָׁהַת) l) destruction. Y.Shek.I, 45d bot. (ref. to Zeph. 3:7) כלה׳ … בהשכמהוכ׳ whatever destructive work the Israelites undertook, they did with early rising (eagerly). Ex. R. 10, end הַשְׁחָתַת הצפרדעים the injury (to their bodies) caused by the frogs (Ps. 78:45); a e. 2) (with ref. to Lev. 19:27) shaving with a razor.
